5 Reasons Your Wife Needs To Go To Starbucks…Alone

Hey there guys! I want to speak to you for just a few minutes…it won’t take long, I promise. πŸ˜‰

So, we know that you do so much for us! You work hard, are a fantastic daddy to our littles, help with fixing things around the house, and are the bestest child wranglers EVER!

We appreciate all that you do for our family, and how much love you give to us every day.

I want you to take a minute and think about your lovely wife. Think about everything she does for you, and your family. Let that sink in for a minute.

This Mom’s Essentials For Backyard Summer Fun

During the summer months we spend a lot of time outdoors. Especially in our backyard.

I like to have plenty of games and fun for the kiddos to keep them from getting bored. When the kids are bored, no one is going to be happy!

It also gets incredibly hot where we live, as in living on the surface of the sun HOT! Staying cool while we play outside is a MUST!

So, me being me, I just have to share with you some of this mom’s essentials for backyard Summer fun!

5 Ways To Keep Your Marriage Strong Through The Toddler Years

When you have children of any age, but in particular through the toddler years, how do you keep your marriage strong?

You know the scene. You are knee deep in poopy diapers, a mile long pile of laundry, the never ending list of errands, sippy cups leaking juice all over the floor, trying to maintain some semblance of order in your home…need I go on?

And, all of this is happening while said toddler is losing their mind in one of many full blown tantrums for the day.

4 Things All Moms Should Be Wearing

We have all seen it…the LISTS.Β You know the ones? The lists that tell women, in particular moms, what they should no longer be wearing.

There was a recent list I read, ‘what women over 30 should never wear’, and honestly it just made me sad.

This list included items such as graphic tees (ain’t nobody taking my #MomLife tee from me!), and hoop earrings. What the what? Hoop earrings??? Seriously, a staple of my wardrobe.

So with all the lists telling us what not to wear, I thought it would be a nice idea to list some things I think all moms SHOULD be wearing, on the DAILY! πŸ™‚

Well, have no fear because I have just the thing to cure what ails you! The Summer Bucket List.

This Summer our family decided to put together a list of all of the things that we would like to see, create, and do over the Summer break.

We gathered our family around, and everyone got to contribute. Even our youngest had suggestions…who may have been a little hard to understand, but I think I got all of her suggestions written down. πŸ™‚

This is such a fun thing to do, because the kiddos answers may surprise you. Our oldest suggested things that weren’t even on my mommy radar.

The Busy Mom’s Guide to Excercise

Hello my darlings!

Winter Break is officially over…I hope everyone survived! We had quite a whirlwind around here. Our family and friends came to visit through out the entire break, and I have to say it was absolutely amazing!

When we moved I didn’t realize how incredibly difficult it would be to relocate to a place where we had no family or friends. An extended visit with those we love is always treasured!

With all of that being said this mommy was ready for the kiddos to get back to school…I mean like NOW!!!

Taking a Simpler Approach to Christmas

Hello my darlings!

I have been thinking a lot about ways for our family to simplify Christmas. Β It seems like every year I see so many people trying to ‘one up’ their previous Christmas. And believe me, I get it.

It is difficult to not get sucked into the abyss of buying a bunch of gifts. We see what our friends and family members are doing and buying, and then there is the constant barrage of commercials. We inevitably say to ourselves “They are great kids, they deserve everything their hearts desire.” And Sally is buying all kinds of things for her kids, and you would never want your children to feel left out. I mean that is just good parenting…right?!?
