3 Ways You Should Be Rocking Your Mommy Bun – #FridayFavorites

We have all seen it…the Mommy Bun. You know the mom with their hair thrown into a messy bun on top of their head?

I will be the first to admit, I was wearing this hairstyle long before I ever became a mommy. But, since becoming a mommy I sport this style ON.THE.DAILY.

This hairstyle definitely receives some mixed reviews, but I am proud of my mommy bun! When my hair goes up it means I am in mommy mode, and my focus is on my kiddos.

With that being said, I do like to mix it up a little. So today, I wanted to share with you some of my favorite ways to Rock The Mommy Bun!

Let’s start with first things first. In case you’re not quite sure how to wear the mom bun. Here is a tutorial on how to make it work for you.

One of my favorite ways to rock the mommy bun is actually by wearing two! I love a double top knot, and honestly I get a lot of compliments when I wear them.

Another one of my favorite ways to rock the mommy bun is to add a headband. I think it adds a little something, and helps to ease a little of the hot mess sparkle. 😉

Street Scene provides a lovely tutorial on how to create your own mommy bun headband here. Or you can buy some super cute Boho headband wraps here. They come in a 4 pack and are under $10! What is not to love?!?

My new favorite that I have been rocking a lot lately, is the half top knot. I feel like it shows that his mama has still got it, and stands out just a bit from the crowd of yoga pants and mommy buns. 😉
