5 Reasons Your Wife Needs To Go To Starbucks…Alone

Hey there guys! I want to speak to you for just a few minutes…it won’t take long, I promise. 😉

So, we know that you do so much for us! You work hard, are a fantastic daddy to our littles, help with fixing things around the house, and are the bestest child wranglers EVER!

We appreciate all that you do for our family, and how much love you give to us every day.

I want you to take a minute and think about your lovely wife. Think about everything she does for you, and your family. Let that sink in for a minute.

She cooks the meals, tries her best to keep up with the never-ending housework, runs the errands so that no one starves, changes diapers, potty trains, takes the kiddos to all of their activities…the list could go on forever.

She is pretty amazing right?!?

Now let me ask you another question. When is the last time you were alone?

Was it a few minutes ago when you were in your car? Or perhaps in your office at work? Did you enjoy a leisurely lunch, and were able to catch up on the latest events?

Would you like to know the last time your wife was alone? The day before she went into labor with your first child. Okay that may be a slight exaggeration, but trust me the alone moments are few and far between.

Your wife needs a serious BREAK, and you are just the person to help her get one! And because you are so awesome I know that you will happily do this.

So give mama a break, and help her get her Starbucks on…ALONE!

In case you are hesitating, and wondering why, here are 5 reasons:

She needs to rock out in her car!

Do you know the last time your wife got to just belt it out, and listen to whatever music she wanted to? Yep, neither does she. 😉

There are only so many nursery rhymes we can sing, sibling bickering that needs to be resolved, and snacks and sippy cups that can be tossed at our heads before we are seriously going to go cray cray!

Help us to have the opportunity to channel our inner Beyonce, and rock it like the fierce messy bun mamas that we are! Her soul will thank you.

She needs a breather!

There aren’t any real breaks in #Momhood. I mean seriously guys, they will find us…EV.ER.Y.TIME!

Bathroom? Nope they are in there with us. Shower? Laughable, my toddler just climbs in with me, and fully clothed I might add. Your wife may be able to sneak into the closet, but that will only last a few minutes at best.

We need a moment to just catch our breath, without having anyone asking  us for anything…other than our order of course! 😉

She needs her caffeine!

Guys, we have had a very long day and are beyond exhausted!

There is just something super special about those magical concoctions from Starbucks. I honestly believe they have special ingredients in their drinks that give us mommy superpowers.

It will help you!

This may sound a little crazy, but guys helping your wife to achieve fully caffeinated status alone will score you a ton of cool points!

I assure you, when she arrives back home, she will be recharged and refreshed. A teeny tiny vacay from being a mommy absolutely revitalizes us!

Assisting your wife with regular breaks will only strengthen your marriage! It’s a win win for everybody. 🙂

She deserves it!

She has been knee deep in poopy diapers all day. She has cleaned up the same room 27 times today. She has washed 15 cups, because children have yet to figure out that they can in fact reuse the same cup. She doesn’t even remember the last time she had a full on leisurely shower.

Guess what? She does this all day, everyday, and happily I might add. She does this because she loves you and your family, AND because she is AMAZING!

So guys, do yourself a favor. Once you get home, tell that woman you adore to get the heck out of dodge and go enjoy some Starbucks…alone!

She will absolutely adore you for it!

  1. This is so wonderful! I cherish the few moments I get alone a day and when my husband says he’ll take the kiddo for the day (or evening or even just an hour) I go straight to Starbucks!
