Here is the thing. I do not like cleaning. Like I despise cleaning.

But, my house was getting way out of control. I would hit this point of total mom freak out. And, say things that weren’t the nicest. Then I would have a good old rage cleaning bender. Maybe you can relate?

Basically, it wasn’t a great way to live.

I know that it can work for your family too!

How to use the daily cleaning checklist

The first thing you will want to do after grabbing your FREE Daily Cleaning Checklist is to print it out.

From there you can do one of two things:

  • Place the printable house cleaning checklist PDF in a sheet protector. As you complete each task, you can mark it off with a dry erase marker.
  • Print out a copy for each day of the week.

Whichever method you decide to go with, just be sure to keep your daily cleaning schedule template somewhere easily accessible. And, preferably where everyone in the family can see it. P.S. This comes in handy for the delegating part.

From there, you will really just want to take a look at the daily cleaning routine, and see what works best for your schedule.

For instance, I squeeze in cleaning the kitchen while I am cooking. And I clean the bathroom while Willow is in the tub.

This is all about creating a routine that works with you, and not against you. You know how your home life flows best. So, feel free to mix it up, and show your daily cleaning schedule who’s boss.

How do you maintain a cleaning routine?

You know how you can get super pumped and excited about starting something new, and then it just sort of fizzles out?

I mean, your intentions are good. But, life gets busy, and the toddler is having a meltdown. And let’s not get started on the tween attitudes and eye rolls.

It can get really overwhelming real quick. So, you just let that routine go. And maybe hide in a closet eating ice cream. P.S.  Literally no judgement. I am the friend who would bring the chocolate sauce. πŸ˜‰

But, you want more than that. And, you really want a clean home.

That is why having a simple daily cleaning routine is a total game changer. By doing these super easy tasks, in as little as 15 minutes a day.

You will easily and effectively maintain a cleaning routine.

And again, friendly reminder. Encourage the rest of your family to contribute to the daily cleaning schedule.

You aren’t the only one living in your home. And, it is a great way to teach everyone about team work and responsibility.

How do you make house chores easier?

I wish that I had a magical wand that would simply accomplish all of the tasks in your cleaning routine. Honestly, I do. It sure would make my life easier too.

Since, I don’t have magical super powers. I have come up with some tips that I use to make my cleaning a bit easier.

  • Put on some tunes.

There is nothing quite like upbeat music that will get your body motivated and moving. We love to put on some fun music, and boogie down while cleaning up.

  • Listen to a podcast.

If you will be cleaning alone, than take that time to listen to one of your favorite podcasts. You will probably become so captivated, that you will not even notice that you are cleaning.

  • Make it a game.

Take a look at your FREE Daily Cleaning Checklist, and see which tasks would be great to hand over to the kids.

Next, turn those tasks into a game or competition. Some examples we use are whomever can clean up the most clutter gets to pick out the movie for family movie night.

Another option is if they make their bed every day for a week, then they can get an extra 30 minutes of screen time on Saturday.

The possibilities are endless. Do whatever works best for your kids, and their personalities.

  • Create a reward.

If you are sticking to your daily cleaning schedule like a boss. You deserve a reward too!

I don’t care if it’s getting your nails done, going out for a well deserved girls night, or taking a bath. Do something that is just for you, and makes you unbelievable happy.
