Egg rolls of all kinds have been around forever and with good reason! You can easily customize them to fit the needs of your family.

You can add variety every time you make them by changing up the veggies, meat or even the sauce you use with them.

The combinations are endless making this an easy staple to add into your weekly meal prep.

Chicken Spring Roll Ingredients

  • Ground chicken⁣
  • Shredded cabbage⁣
  • Shredded carrots⁣
  • Green onion, sliced ⁣
  • Egg roll wrappers⁣
  • sesame oil⁣
  • low sodium soy sauce
  • Ginger paste⁣
  • Garlic powder⁣
  • Onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste ⁣

How to make Chicken Spring Rolls

  1. Heat sesame oil in skillet on medium heat and add ground chicken⁣
  2. Add 1 tbsp soy sauce and 1 tbsp ginger paste and spices and mix well⁣
  3. Once chicken is almost finished add cabbage, carrots, and remaining tbsp of soy sauce and ginger ⁣
  4. Mix well and cook until cabbage is cooked to liking⁣
  5. Add green onions, stir, and turn off heat⁣
  6. Set Airfryer to 400⁣
  7. Spray baking sheet or basket ⁣
  8. Once mixture is cooled, add heaping spoonful to egg roll wrapper⁣
  9. Fold in sides, lift bottom half over sides, and roll⁣
  10. Add egg rolls to basket or baking sheet⁣
  11. Spray tops of egg rolls with cooking spray ⁣
  12. Air fry for 10-15 minutes or until disputed crispness, flip egg rolls halfway through cooking
  13. Let cool and enjoy!

What if I don’t have an air fryer?

Air Fryer Chicken Spring Roll

You can either bake them in the oven or fry them in oil on the stove top.

In the oven, bake them for 20 minutes at 400°F, turning them over at the 10 minute mark.

If you choose the stove top version, add a half an inch of oil to a frying pan and fry for 3 minutes per side, until golden. You may want to use a lid to help prevent the oil from splashing while cooking.

Can I freeze the spring rolls?

Yes! Once you add all the ingredients and roll them up, you can place into a freezer bag in one single layer. Close the bag and freeze for up to 2-4 months. When you are ready to use, simply take out of the freezer and place into the air fryer. No defrost is necessary.

What is your favorite sauce to go with the spring rolls?

 A favorite is a combo of sweet chili sauce and dark soy sauce. But don’t limit yourself here, you can explore a spicy peanut sauce, sweet & spicy sauce, or Yum Yum sauce.

Why didn’t the spring rolls cook all the way through?

  • The air fryer wasn’t pre-heated before starting.
  • There were too many cooking at once.
  • The spring rolls were larger which may need more cook time.
  • You didn’t turn them halfway through the cooking cycle.

Air Fryer Chicken Egg Rolls are crispy on the outside and filled with chicken and vegetables. Make these faster than you can order takeout!  


Ingredients

  • 16 oz ground chicken 
  • 2 c shredded cabbage⁣
  • 1 c shredded carrots⁣
  • 1/4 c green onion, sliced ⁣
  • Egg roll wrappers⁣
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil⁣
  • 2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce⁣
  • 2 tbsp ginger, paste⁣
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder⁣
  • 1 tbsp onion powder⁣
  • Salt and pepper to taste ⁣

Instructions
