Easy DIY Glitter Hair Clips – Full Tutorial
If you have a little girl, then you know that hair accessories are a must! There are a ton of options out there, but being a DIYer I wanted to try to make my own. That is why I am super excited to share this super easy DIY Glitter Hair Clips!
My daughter absolutely loves her hair bows, hair clips, headbands…you name it…and she LOVES it! She especially loves anything with some shimmer…because who doesn’t? 😉
I decided this mommy needed to get it together, and try to make her very own Glitter Hair Clips. This DIY project is super easy ya’ll, like you cannot mess this up! 🙂

Let’s get this DIY Glitter Hair Clips project started!
What you will need:
Hair Clips my daughter is young with not a lot of hair. If you are wanting more of a thicker barrette I like this option, and this one too.
Extra Fine Glitter, whichever colors you prefer, or this multi color set
First, you will use the foam brush to put a thin layer of Mod Podge onto your hair clip. Be sure to keep it as even as possible.
Next, you will roll the clip in the glitter. I used a paper plate to spread my glitter, but feel free to use whatever works for you.
Shake off any excess glitter, and place the hair clip on another plate to dry. After about an hour, go back over the hair clip with another thin layer of Mod Podge.
This will seal the glitter in place, so it’s not shaking off all over the place later. 😉 Don’t worry, the Mod Podge will dry clear.
Once it dries, you are good to get started, and go crazy with your hair clips! I know my little lady is loving them, and her mommy might be stealing one for herself! 😉
Now excuse me while I go buy ALL the glitter.
